Vajrayana Buddhism in the West

We are excited and humbled to welcome Mahamudra and Dzogchen master Lama Chime Rinpoche to Swansea. He was born in Jyekundo, Kham, East Tibet around 1940. In 1959 Lama Chime Rinpoche left occupied Tibet and settled in the famous Tulku college in India.  Following a prediction from his teacher Khenpo Gangshar, Lama Chime Rinpoche managed to find himself in the West living in Oxford together with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Akong Rinpoche in the 1960s.

Lama Chime Rinpoche went on to form Marpa House, the first Tibetan Buddhist centre in England,  and Amrita Dzong, a centre in central London.  He continues to give yearly teachings at his centres.

Rinpoche has a warm and beautiful style able to fuse the ancient authentic teachings from Tibet with the understanding of the western way of life which bring the teachings alive.

We hope you will join us for this special day of teaching and Lama Chime Rinpoche’s first teaching in Swansea. if you have any questions please email us.
